West Java, Indonesia has potential nature
resources to Build Indonesia. The Economic activities centred in Bandung. Three
Cities in West Java Bekasi, Depok and Bogor are supporting Cities for Jakarta. Housing,
Factories, and Junk yard has been built there to support Jakarta’s needed.
West Java also has potentials nature tourism
such as craters, lake and forest. I have visit two famous craters in West Java.
Both of them are touristy place, they are Kawah Ratu, Tangkuban Perahu Mountain
and Kawah Putih, Patuha Mountain Ciwidey. No Shuttle service or even cabs to
get there, even from Bandung. You have to use your car or you can rent a car a
day to reach both destinations. Kawah Ratu is 30 kms from Bandung and Kawah
Putih is 42 kms from Bandung.

| Kawah Ratu My first time to visit Kawah Ratu. I was amazed with the canopies along the way climbed Tangkuban Perahu Mountain, the road isn’t too slope. We still can find taverns on road side, many of them sells Jagung Bakar / roasted corn. A retribution cost have to pay at the entrance gate when we reached the area. The crater even not close or near the entrance gate, but we have to climb about 3 kilometers under the lush tree lines. The air is not cold enough but I don’t know when the night came. Don’t even tempted to buy masker offered by the seller to the visitors saying “the sulfur stench above are very strong, you have to use masker. Three for fifteen thousands”. The parking place for small car is next to Crater’s hole and for Buses is 1 kilometer far before the crater site. And the visitor came with buses have to rent Ojek to reach there with agreed cost. I wrote don’t even tempted with the Maker seller because you’ll only use it one time or less then thirty minutes and I don’t even struggling with sulfur smells there. Did you know! This is an active volcano and can even spreads poisoned gas. If this happens, the park manager would give a warn earlier. |

| Kawah Putih Ciwidey Kawah Putih lies above 2.434 Meters ASL. The Park retribution are a bit expensive then Kawah Ratu. If you bring your car and want to reach the site easily and place your car near by, You have to pay more retribution. The Park also offered shuttle car to reach there if you store your car far from site with additional cost. From the entrance gate, the visitors who pay more retribution for ease. Have to drive their car 5 kilometers climb the hill. the road is slope, wavy and little bit bumpy. We’re dense with the tree lines that suffused with mist almost seems like wonderland. The scenery view are beautiful there. This isn’t seems like Crater but it Is the crater. Its more like a white lake. This mountain has blew at X century. You don’t need masker to visit there, because doesn't stink any sulfur. Once again do not tempted with masker seller |
